Aikido Yamato Buikukai
Aikido is the name given to our discipline and practice of the Way (Do) to achieve unity with the spirit, the body and the Universe. The Path of unification with the Light of harmony.
According to Shinto, Japan was created by two deities who met on a bridge called Ame-no-ukihashi (天浮橋) which literally means "Sky Floating Bridge." This is the bridge that connects Heaven and Earth. Equally the discipline of aikidō, try to unite humanity as a bridge and from this point, build Harmony with nature .
So in our emblem, the vertical line represents the union or bridge between the heaven and earth through Aikido and the horizontal line represents the bridge or the union between men. The junction point between the two lines is called "Takemusu" is where the "Aiki" is born. The circle around the Buikukai symbol signifies the movement or "flow" of energy (KI).
In this way, Hirokazu Kobayashi Shihan (小林 裕和 1929 – 1998) , named his Dojo Buikukai What does "The house to form or educate a good person through the martial path" mean? and with that education (through this bridge) build a better country, a better world.¨
The Buikukai Organization was born in the prefecture of Osaka, Japan. It arises because Hirokazu Kobayashi Shihan - High Ranking Master - receives the order from the Aikikai headquarters to promote Aikido in the western part of Japan, especially in the City of Osaka. This task began by instructing Aikido in some universities, the police, in the Dojo, etc.
After having started the promotion of Aikido in Osaka, he receives a new order, now from the founder: “to promote Aikido in Europe”. For the latter, Buikukai has a large number of Dojos and associations in Europe; to the point that people talk about the Buikukai style or Hirokazu Kobayashi, but in the end we are talking about the same thing.
Subsequently and with the authorization of the Aikikai Hombu (Aikido World Headquarters in Japan) in October 2016, the Yamato Buikukai Organization is founded by Hirotoshi Yabuuchi Shihan (Seventh Dan Aikikai) direct student of the founder of Hirokazu Kobayashi. He is one of his most important and oldest students. The 30 years that he was by his side strengthened the confidence of the Master in this disciple.
His main wish is that the idea of Aikido "Harmony of the Spirit" be taken care of: That the students be kind and sincere with their companions and that they practice with serenity and dedication every day.
